Is there a Social Marketer joining fee in India?
No.
What is a PAN (Permanent Account Number)?
This is a 10-character alphanumeric identifier, issued by the Indian Income Tax Department. The 4th character is a P and the 5th character is the first initial of the Social Marketer’s surname. Modere currently validates against these character values and will not accept enrolment unless they match.
What if I have changed my name since my PAN registration?
The Modere sign up validation currently will not accept the submission of a new Social Marketer where their surname does not match the 5th character of their PAN registration. We are awaiting advice from Modere Global on how these will be managed.
How long does it take to get a PAN registration?
The PAN website returns a PAN ID after registration within 48 hours digitally. This digital confirmation can be uploaded as proof, in the Modere sign up process. The physical PAN card is issued within 2 weeks. This can then be submitted as final proof.
What is an AADHAAR?
It is a 12-digit unique identity number that can be obtained voluntarily by residents or passport holders of India, based on their biometric and demographic data.
What is a Voter ID?
It is an identity document issued by the Election Commission of India to adult domiciles of India who have reached the age of 18. It primarily serves as an identity proof for Indian citizens casting their ballot in elections.
What is FSSAI?
Stands for the Food Safety and Standards Authority Of India. All new Indian Social Marketers must have FSSAI registration and should refer to their website for more information.
What is a Voided/Cancelled Cheque or Savings Bank Details?
This proof of account ownership is required for ‘KYC’ (know your customer) purposes. Without this, we cannot legally pay commissions to Indian Social Marketers.
What do we do if an Indian Social Marketer forgot to choose a pack or selected the wrong pack on sign up?
The pack choice is just utilized as an indication on what Indian Social Marketers may buy, there is no need to go back in and update it or ask for it to be changed. Once the market is launched the Social Marketer will have 10 days to make their 1st purchase. This purchase goes towards the Early Adopter points and bonus commissions and the Social Marketer can purchase whatever they like.
Is there any SmartShip program in India?
No, it is against the law in India to have any recurring ordering program.
How does Share The Love work for India?
This is the same global program with 700 rupees Live Clean Credits for both the receiver and the giver. However, only Indian Social Marketers without downline are considered Customers and will receive Live Clean Credits for Sharing The Love. Also, in alignment with our current Share The Love program, if the share the love giver is from a different global market only the receiver gets the Share The Love. Please remember that an Indian Social Marketer with no downline is only eligible to receive Share The Love credits.
When will Share The Love Live Clean Credits be generated for India?
Live Clean Credits will be applied to Social Modere accounts when India officially launches in November.
Who is eligible to participate in the Early Adoption Program?
Any Social Marketers that enrol in India during pre-launch phase are eligible to participate. Social Marketer’s that enrol during pre-launch will be assigned with an ‘Early Adopter’ recognition title.
Who is entitled to Early Adoption Program cheque (commission) increases?
Only Early Adopters are entitled to the Early Adoption Program cheque (commission) increases.
Early Adopters who achieve the points as per the below table in the first 14 days of official launch qualify for the cheque (commission) multiplier increase on their first 3 months cheques (commissions).
Any SMs that pre-register on or before 31 August 2020 will receive an extra 5% baseline cheque (commission) increase in addition to the applicable Early Adopter Points %s.
How does the 60 Day Placement Program work for pre-launch registered Social Marketers?
It is the same 60 Day Placement program as implemented globally (with the exception of Japan, who do not have a placement program). Upon the official Indian market launch, all pre-registered Social Marketers will have their entry date reset to the Indian market launch date and from that date their enroller has 60 days to place them. Social Marketers will still be identified and qualify for the Early Adoption Program because they will be assigned the title of Early Adoption Program.
Are there Customers in India?
No, there is no true concept of a Customer in India. Everybody is a Social Marketer. However Social Marketers who do not have a downline will contribute to their sponsor’s Key Sales Points (Customer Pod equivalent in other global markets). When a Social Marketer does sign up a downline they will be removed from their sponsor’s Key Sales and become a new Social Marketer leg under their sponsor.
How do my existing Australian Customers sign up as Indian Social Marketers?
Please contact the Australian office and request the Australian Customer account is cancelled. Allow a day for the system to update. Cancellation can be confirmed by checking your network report to see that the Customer is no longer on it. They are than free to rejoin as an Indian Social Marketer using the same sign up facility on the Indian website. We strongly recommend that these Social Marketers maintain their sponsor as per their original Australian Customer account.
How can an existing Social Marketer transfer to India?
If an existing Social Marketer wants to sign up for India pre-launch we would consider this an international transfer. We recommend those international transfers are processed after launch so that existing commissions are uninterrupted. That Social Marketer is still free to sign up India SMs. The international transferring SM will not be eligible for Early Adoption Program.
If a pre-registered Indian Social Marketer starts building a Modere business internationally how do they get paid on that international activity?
The Indian Social Marketer will be auto-qualified every month of the pre-launch period where they have international activity. The bonuses will be accumulated for each month and then paid out in the first month that the Indian market opens. For legal reasons, there is no visibility to view accumulated earnings for a pre-registered Indian Social Marketer prior to market launch. However, once the Indian market is open, the Social Marketer will receive those accumulated commissions in their first commission and first bonus statement.
Can Indian Social Marketers resell Modere products?
Standard global reselling and online selling rules apply as per any Modere market’s current Policies & Procedures.
Is there an Indian business presentation that can be used for prospecting?
Justin Serra is planning on releasing a video/presentation that will be available sometime in August 2020 for this purpose.
Will there be opportunities for Modere India to ship into neighbouring countries?
A. Modere is exploring the opportunity to ship into neighbouring countries where there is a reciprocal trade agreement, but at this stage we do not have any firm plans. Rest assured we will continue to keep Social Marketers updated should we have further information
